Hanging out with my old friend James from @jamesdronesgeelong who is also working on Season 2 of The Huntsman as the drone operator and second cameraman!

We did some test flights today. Super impressed with what James can do. He brings a great skill set to the production team, hes also a stand up guy. I’m excited to hunt with him this year.

Starting off the new year getting first blood on some new gear. This is a brand new Australian made hunting knife from Tassie Tiger Knifes (@tassietigerknives). This one even has The Huntsman’ logo lazer etched on!

Sharp, well made and easy to use. Im loving it so far. I’m excited to get some more blood on it this year.

This shot was taken from 300m at a fallow doe with my TIKKA T3x Strata Camo 2020 Special Oz Edition, fitted with a Burris Eliminator III scope.

While a heart shot means you can’t eat the heart, you gain the satisfaction of a clean ethical kill and reduced retrieval time. It’s not hard after all to find a deer thats dropped on thr spot.
