In the season opener, Jordi, Brad, and I touch down in Nelson on the South Island. We waste no time jumping in the chopper to fly into Gosling Camp—a remote private lease tucked away in a lush bush valley.
After settling into our “luxury” accommodation (a repurposed water tank) and checking the zeros on the rifles, it’s straight up the ridges to see if we can secure some meat for the table. It’s authentic, it’s steep, and it’s exactly what New Zealand hunting is all about.
