Summer in Australia is a beautiful but brutal time to be in the bush. With temperatures soaring and fire risks high, every move has to be calculated. In this episode of The Huntsman, Luke, Jordan (Skirts), and Chris head out to a private property to track down the elusive Sambar deer during one of the hottest days of the year.
With the mercury hitting 40°C, the bush was silent. The deer were nowhere to be found, having bedded down deep in the shadows to escape the relentless sun. After hours of glassing and persistence, the boys finally locate a deer cooling off in a swamp on the property. Watch to see how the team manages the conditions and handles a challenging harvest in the heat.
