This is previously unreleased footage from our Victorian High Country public land hunt filmed during Season 3 of The Huntsman.
In this bonus hunt, Cass Flemming leaves camp before first light and heads out solo onto public land in search of sambar. What unfolds is a quiet, tense encounter deep in the bush — a close-range stand-off with a sambar stag that refuses to move on, repeatedly honking back at her as the moment stretches on.
This footage didn’t make the final episode cut, but it was too good not to share. It’s raw, honest public land hunting — no crew, no shortcuts, just Cass navigating the High Country on her own and making decisions in real time.
